Weekend in review

-Saw Shame on Friday, great film

-Woke up saturday to sauteed sweet potatos and kale on toast with poached eggs (recipe)

-Went to Ikea to browse sofas (being real about my budget) and bought a ton of jars to better organize the pantry (this excited me more than it should have)

-Also bought a tray of cinnamon rolls and elderflower drink concentrate at Ikea, finished all the cinnamon rolls (with Eric’s help)

-Used a Scoutmob coupon and got $15 off one of my fav neighborhood restaurants, Sticky Rice

-made my favorite tacos and watched the Golden Globes

-Used the holiday to have a second brunch of chocolate chip pancakes with smashed raspberries

-Went to the Corcoran  to see the amazing 30 Americans exhibit, FOR FREE in honor of MLK day. Thought a lot about being too passive in the fight against racism.

-Now making a bunch of super easy tamale pies for lunch this week!
